The view, the accomodations, the access to snorkeling, the beauty of Opunohu Bay & the stunning morning views of the mountains across that bay, the feeling of privacy when on the patio (even more so that the other two units), the use of the kayaks on a calm morning paddle and even last minute access to the owner's personal vehicle. This is a true hidden gem that we hope, at least for our sake, remains hidden! My wife & I have already promised ourselves to return soon!

Note that all villas do back up to the main island road (they are enclosed behind a security gate) so you will hear cars/motor bikes, but this did not bother us at all.

We are an older couple and enjoyed the peace and serenity of the place over 4 days and 5 nights. The bungalow was well appointed, including the kitchen, and met all our needs. The snorkelling just off the shore was very special. It is also in a good position from which to explore this beautiful island and enjoy watching the light play on such amazing mountain peaks. We loved the private lagoon tour with Polynesian Spirit which had been recommended - that was very special. We appreciated being able to hire a car as it was necessary for getting around. Recommendations for eating places was also helpful. We appreciated the caring support of Alix the caretaker. We have lovely memories of our stay.

I think it helps to have a rental car to get around the island and explore.
It’s a different experience than the overwater bungalow hotels, a little less luxury with more island feel.

I agree, the best is probably to combine such a traditional wooden Villa right by the lagoon and discover Moorea island vibes by your own, and on another island (eg Bora Bora) be pampered in a luxury Hotel :). Denis
